Unity: We will work to unite the Sikh community by creating an inclusive and transparent atmosphere.
Action Plan:
- Fostering an open and inclusive atmosphere where the committee works with everyone for positive change.
- Reject all labels imposed by the media and unite as a strong and vibrant community.
- Tables and chairs are no longer a divisive issue in the community. No tables and chairs will be removed from the langar hall, however, appropriate provisions will be made for those who wish to sit on mats.
- Abolish $25 membership fee & bring an open and fair membership enrolment process.
- To maintain and expand the facility to meet the growing social and religious needs of the community.
- Restore honour and prestige of our pioneers by lobbying for an official apology in Parliament for the Komagata Maru incident.
